This past weekend, fishing games enthusiasts from around the world had their minds blown while watching UFC 134 from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Headlined by a Middleweight clash between Anderson Silva and challenger Yushin Okami, sports betting fans can easily say, they got their money’s worth at this weekend’s first MMA event in Brazil. Here is a recap of the card and a few thoughts on where we go from here.
After playing a cat and mouse game for much of the first round of their title fight, Anderson Silva made sure to avenge his last loss in the octagon, in the second round against Yushin Okami. It was five years ago, that Okami defeated Silva by disqualification. Now, 15 fights later, Silva has crushed the UFC middleweight division and many fans and experts, including Silva himself, ponder as to what is next.
On the one hand, Silva could fight Chris Leben, but realistically, if Silva wants to keep fighting, he should move up in weight class to the Light Heavyweight division, where he will have a slew of good fights. From rematches with Shogun Rua and Rampage Jackson, to a potential heavy striking fight with current Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones, a move up in weight class seems the most logical choice for Silva.
In other UFC 134 news, the previously mentioned Shogun Rua was able to prove to his fans and himself that he still has plenty left in the tank, after he destroyed Forrest Griffin in the first round of their Light Heavyweight fight. Rua, looked the best he’s ever appeared in years, and many fans, we included are hoping he fights Jon Jones again soon. Jones, who took the belt away from Rua, is considered to be the best pound for pound fighter on the planet.
